Pensioner money lost at IGA - Wed 13/8/25

I am a Social Worker who works with older people. One of my clients who lives in Samford & on a pension unfortunately lost $1000 that she had just withdrawn from the Bank as she got out of her car at the local IGA. Despite a thorough search in her car & around the village this could not be found.

This money was to pay her rent, food & bills.

My client is already living so close to the bone with no spare cash & has a small debt outstanding.

My client is very thankful & overwhelmed for people who have reached out as something like this is very difficult & distressing as with a fixed income it is hard to get ahead.
