<div>Dit initiatief gaat uit van business coach <strong>Nies Cools</strong> en haar <strong>mastermindgroep Sacred Sisters</strong>: een groep dynamische vrouwelijke onderneemsters die een jaartraject volgen bij Nies en elkaar versterken in groei, ondernemerschap en impact. Samen zetten we nu onze schouders onder een project dat ons diep raakt: <strong>Ubunifu Lamu Initiative</strong>, een organisatie op Lamu Island die kwetsbare kinderen een veilige plek geeft om te leren, spelen en dromen.

<div><strong>Waarom doen we dit? </strong>
</div>
<div>Toen COVID-19 toesloeg, viel het leven op Lamu stil. Ouders gingen wanhopig op zoek naar werk en voedsel, terwijl kinderen vaak alleen achterbleven. Ubunifu Lamu opende haar deuren en veranderde een kleine studio in een creatieve leerplek waar kinderen zich konden uiten via kunst, muziek, dans en sport. Vandaag is Ubunifu een bruisend centrum dat cultuur en creativiteit verweeft in het dagelijks leven van deze kinderen.

<div><strong>Nies Cools steunt Ubunifu al enkele jaren. </strong>

<div>Ze is er al meerdere keren geweest, heeft de kinderen ontmoet en zelfs haar eigen kinderen laten spelen en hun kleertjes meegegeven om te helpen. Nu voelt Nies dat het tijd is om met meer ondersteunende handen dit prachtige initiatief verder te dragen. Samen met haar Sacred Sisters willen we een verschil maken.

<div>Wat is er nodig? De vraag groeit. Er zijn zoveel kinderen die een veilige plek nodig hebben. Daarom willen we samen met Ubunifu <strong>een tweede verdieping bouwen</strong> om meer kinderen op te vangen. Dit kost 25.000 euro. Een bedrag dat levens verandert.
