Samella Barr's Road to Recovery

Early this summer, Samella Barr was incredibly sick with COVID-19. The doctors had really low hopes of her surviving the virus during sedation. She was on life support for just shy of a month. Fortunately, she was blessed to leave the hospital and begin a rehab treatment. However, even with plenty of therapy she still has many deficits that render her unable to work. Her doctors are doing all that they can to aid her recovery, but they are unsure that she will be able to return to her life prior to the virus. She has served the community for well over 30 years working with different local radio stations and community projects. If you know her, you know that she will go above and beyond to help the next person. Now she is asking for your help. To assist in her medical/physical therapy funds and life necessities (utilities and other living essentials), we are raising money to help her as she has no foreseeable income. Like many of us, she is a proud person and does not love the idea of even asking for help but that is what community is for. When one falls short, the least we can do is lend a helping hand.
