Sam Postelle Memorial Scholarship

It is with a heavy heart that we are experiencing the passing of Mr. Sam Postelle, a 2011 graduate of Central Carrollton High School. In the early morning hours of November 6th, Sam was hit by a drunk driver on his way home from work with Delta. Sam did not survive the crash Sam was a 4 year letter-man for the Central Carrollton High Lions football team, and he cared very deeply for his coaches and teammates. Football was Sam’s passion and it allowed him to grow as a player and as a man.   His father, Harold Postelle is a teacher and coach at Whitewater Middle School in Fayetteville, Ga. Harold has made a tremendous impact on our students and staff by unselfishly dedicating his time to our most severely disabled children. Mr. Postelle’s kind heart has been shattered. The coaches at Whitewater would like to help in the healing process by honoring Sam and the Postelle family through a scholarship. Our hope is to raise money through our community here in Fayette County and abroad and to present a scholarship (Sam Postelle Memorial Scholarship) to a senior Central Lions football player that demonstrates the same characteristics that made Sam the man that he is today. With the blessings of the principal at Central High, the scholarship will be presented at the Central high Honors Night this spring of 2020. Losing a love one is always tough; losing a child is numbing.  Prayers are requested for the Postelle family as the words to describe their  emotions right now, cannot be comprehended yet.  Harold did say that he is at peace only because he knows that Sam is 100% in Jesus's arms right now... Please consider giving anything you can, so Sam's legacy for loving life, family, football,  his friends, everything outdoors, UGA, and of course his Eternal Savior can be forwarded on to another deserving young, person for years to come.
