If you're here, then you probably know us, but if you don't, here's the basics: we live in the middle of a hand-built construction project in the woods of rural Maine, and we're trying to keep the lights on as we head into a long hard winter.
Our friends convinced us to put this page up so people would have a concentrated place to go to send support that wouldn't require any additional labor. Because between trying to rebuild part of our electrical system, care for the animals (see scene-stealing goats in photos), getting into the ground before the frost hits, and the regular work of living here, there's little more we can do.
I (Sam) am a firm believer in improving the world around me through mutual aid. The current political situation scares the hell out of me, but I do my part to make my patch of ground safe and sustainable. I believe visibility and friendship are the only ways to fight the dehumanizing systems that isolate us all.
Thank you for helping us get through.
