Sam and Carol's Medical Expenses

As many of you know, my parents have been pillars of the community for over 40 years. They have volunteered to help with many things such as pancake breakfasts, their neighbors and anyone in need. They volunteered with the fire department and other community organizations. You also know that this year has been a year of trial for them.
This past year has hit them hard, both have had many week stays in the hospital (most recently this week), ICU and mom had two surgeries within a month. Each of them have had to be taken by ambulance to the hospital and they have had numerous extra doctor visits from Denver to Grand Junction because of these current issues. Mom has continued to work when she could, however, she had to shut down her daycare for 6 weeks and had no income coming in.
While they have continued to do what they can, they have depleted their savings and are continuously being sent bills that insurance won't cover, as well as the added expenses of travel and daycare days lost because of the extra time it has required to get healthy.
A lot of you have asked what can we do to help. After much thought and consideration, I think that this is the best way to help. While they would never ask for help, but are always willing to give it, I am asking the community to help them succeed in getting back on their feet after 7 months of medical disarray.
