<div>In the highlands of Chiapas, Mexico — one of the country’s most water-stressed and economically marginalized regions — a rural farming family and their cooperative, Sueño del Buenvivir, are building a bold, community-led solution to climate collapse, land degradation, and forced migration.

<div>They’ve secured access to 7.5 hectares of land, and now need urgent support to finish paying for the land and construct a water reservoir — the heart of a regenerative project that will nourish the soil, provide clean water, and create dignified work for young people at risk of being displaced.

<div>1. Water justice in the face of climate change:
</div>
<div>A large reservoir (“olla de agua”) will supply 30 families with clean water and irrigate 50 hectares of crops — a lifeline in a region where droughts are accelerating and families have no backup plan.

<div>2. Regenerative farming, not extraction:
</div>
<div>The land will be divided into:
</div>
<div>•	70% forest reserve — to restore soil health and biodiversity
</div>
<div>•	15% water access and reforestation zone
</div>
<div>•	15% regenerative agriculture — local vegetables, chickens, pigs, and more, farmed ecologically and cooperatively

<div>This is a closed-loop, soil-honoring system rooted in Indigenous knowledge, food sovereignty, and ecological healing.

<div>En Chichihuistán, Teopisca, Chiapas, en el sur de México, una familia campesina lucha por sobrevivir en una de las zonas con pobreza extrema y estrés hídrico crítico. Junto a la Cooperativa Sueño del Buenvivir, en la que participan, han encontrado una solución que cambiará su destino y el de su comunidad: adquirir 7.5 hectáreas de tierra para garantizar agua, regenerar los suelos, producir alimentos sanos para la región y generar oportunidades para que jóvenes del campo no abandonen su tierra. Todo esto es posible, pero necesitamos tu ayuda para acabar de pagar el terreno y construir una olla de agua.

<div><strong>¿Por qué este proyecto es vital?</strong>
</div>

<div><strong>1.	Agua para la vida: </strong>El 15% del terreno albergará una olla de agua de gran capacidad que abastecerá a 30 familias y regará 50 hectáreas de cultivos. ¡Es la única esperanza contra la sequía que amenaza su sustento y la viabilidad del proyecto cooperativo!

<div><strong>2.	Regeneración, no explotación:</strong> El 70% será reserva forestal para recuperar suelos y biodiversidad. El 15% restante se usará para agricultura regenerativa, hortalizas, gallinas, cerdos y otros animales integrados en un proyecto agropecuario integral y ecológico. Esta técnica es el corazón de la forma de trabajar de la cooperativa.

<div><strong>3.	Frenar la migración forzada:</strong> Hoy, jóvenes de la comunidad emigran por falta de oportunidades. Con este proyecto, tendrán trabajo digno y razones para quedarse, preservando sus raíces culturales y sembrando esperanza para estas generaciones y las siguientes.
