<div><strong>Ayúdanos a Defender Nuestras Tierras</strong>
</div>
<div><strong>(ENGLISH VERSION BELOW)</strong>
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>¿Qué está pasando?</strong>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Quiénes somos</strong>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Por qué necesitamos tu ayuda</strong>
</div>
</div>
<div>Los fondos recaudados se destinarán a:
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Estudios, informes y documentación necesarios para presentar propuestas y alegaciones fundamentadas.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Por qué merece la pena</strong>
</div>
<div>No estamos defendiendo solo unos contratos ni unas parcelas.
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>

<div><strong>ENGLISH VERSION</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Help Us Defend Our farmland</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The Vega de Maro is one of the most unique agricultural landscapes on the Costa del Sol. For more than 400 years, this land has been continuously cultivated by generations of farmers who have kept alive a model based on small family gardens, subtropical crops, flowers, and a close relationship with the land.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Today, this centuries-old history is under threat.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>What Is Happening?
</div>
<div>The majority of this land belongs to the Grupo Sociedad Azucarera Larios (SALSA). For decades, hundreds of farmers have worked through rural lease contracts that have kept the area's agricultural activity alive.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>However, farmers have historically operated under precarious and temporary contracts, chaining together short-term leases for years, which has generated constant uncertainty regarding the continuity of their work. Although the most recent contract lasted for five years, irregularities and pending issues remain that are currently being legally claimed.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Today, nearly 400 rural contracts and the future of numerous farming families are under threat.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But the problem goes far beyond the contracts.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>What is at stake is deciding what will happen to this land over the coming decades. In contrast to a diverse, family-owned agriculture that has preserved this landscape for generations, models are advancing that seek maximum economic profitability through luxury urban developments or intensive agriculture based on large estates concentrated in a few hands.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If this happens, small-scale farming, family gardens, and an agricultural, cultural, and landscape heritage built over more than four centuries could disappear.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Furthermore, the Nerja Town Hall has begun drafting the new General Municipal Urban Planning Plan (Plan General de Ordenación Municipal - PGOM), which will determine the future of this land. It is vital that the people who live, work, and care for this territory can participate in this process with full guarantees and defend a model that benefits the entire community.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Who We Are</strong>
</div>
<div>We are a platform formed by five local associations:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Acción por Maro (Action for Maro)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Asociación de Vecinos de Maro (Maro Residents' Association)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Eco Axarquía / Bio Agricultura Maro (Eco Axarquía / Organic Farming Maro)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Asociación de Regantes de Maro y Tetuán (Maro and Tetuán Irrigation Association)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Maro Amor (Maro Love)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We have united to defend the farmers, protect this land, and ensure that the future of Maro is not decided without those who have cared for this territory for generations.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Why We Need Your Help</strong>
</div>
<div>To defend our rights and participate on equal terms in the decisions that will shape the future of this land, we need specialized legal and technical advice.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>The funds raised will be used for:</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Legal advice and representation to defend the farmers and tenants.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Studies, reports, and documentation necessary to present well-founded proposals and objections.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Administrative expenses arising from our dialogue with the Nerja Town Hall and other public administrations.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every contribution will help us defend this land and ensure that decisions regarding its future are made in a transparent, participatory, and fair manner.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Why It Matters</strong>
</div>
<div>We are not just defending a few contracts or plots of land.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are defending more than 400 years of agricultural history, hundreds of families tied to the land, and a model that generates local employment, conserves the landscape, and keeps the identity of Maro alive.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We believe that the future lies in strengthening family farming, guaranteeing fair conditions for those who work the land and preserving this heritage for future generations.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>What is at stake is deciding whether this land will remain a living agricultural space at the service of the community, or if it will ultimately be destined for urban speculation and intensive farming models concentrated in just a few hands.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you share these values, we are asking for your help.
</div>

<div>Make a contribution, share this campaign, and help us make the voice of Maro heard.
