Ayúdanos a que los niños no vuelvan a las calles de la favela.
Alem do Morro es un proyecto social y comunitario creado en el 2020 que propone democratizar el acceso a la educación, arte y cultura y propone asistencia a las familias en situación de extrema vulnerabilidad y riesgo social, hoy en día el proyecto actúa en las favelas de Chapéu Mangueria y Babilonia una de las más violentas de la zona Sur de Río de Janeiro.
El principal problema que se aprecia en esta favela es que carece de espacios abiertos donde los niños pueden jugar en un sitio seguro, su estructura se forma mediante estrechas calles y callejones, que hacen que los niños están en numerosas ocasiones en la mitad de los enfrentamientos con la policía y estén ante un gran peligro. Es por ese motivo que tenemos la obligación y necesidad de agrupar a todos los niños en un mismo espacio seguro donde pueden aprender y divertirse.
En la asociación nos encargamos de proporcionar diariamente desayuno, comidas y meriendas a más de 70 niños , ya que en sus casas no tienen recursos para hacerlo, esta manutención se ha llevado a cabo hasta el momento por los dos representantes del proyecto Mila y Hugo y también por algunos residentes de la propia comunidad que han donado alimentos, desafortunadamente estas ayudas han llegado a su fin y no hay más recursos para proporcionar una alimentación básica a los niños.
No todos los niños tienen acceso a educación, en la asociación nos encargamos de que reciban clases básicas de cada materia, les tratamos de inculcar la cultura y el arte como pilares del conocimiento, con esto pretendemos conseguir que se alejen del narcotráfico y de la criminalidad con la que conviven en su día a día.
Hoy en día contamos con clases de:
- Refuerzo escolar
- Alfabetización
- Lectura
- Pintura
- Teatro
- Percusión
Por otro lado contamos con más de 50 familias que reciben atendimiento pedagógico e psicológico por el equipo de voluntarios.
Estamos seguros de que la única opción para que esto niños salgan adelante es mantener abierto este espacio.
La cantidad económica que se quiere recaudar es el presupuesto necesario para mantener la escuela abierta durante medio año. Las ayudas se destinarán a cubrir los gastos básicos del mantenimiento de la escuela, alimentación, cuestiones de higiene y salud. A continuación vamos a describir más detalladamente de forma aproximada en que se va a destinar el dinero recaudado.
1.700 € es el gasto que tenemos mensualmente en la asociación , donde lo desglosamos en:
1200 € en alimentación para proporcionar 3 comidas básicas a más de 70 niños.
150 € en mantenimiento de las instalaciones, como arreglar techos, aulas, baños.
100 € limpieza del espacio, y comprar los elementos necesarios contra el Covid-19
100 € material escolar para los niños
150 € otros gastos donde incluimos: trámites y documentaciones propios de una asociación. Internet, teléfono, salidas fuera de la favela con los niños, etc…

Alem do Morro is a social and community project created in 2020 that aims to democratise access to education, art and culture and offers assistance to families in situations of extreme vulnerability and social risk. Today the project is active in the favelas of Chapéu Mangueria and Babilônia, one of the most violent in the south zone of Rio de Janeiro.
The main problem that can be seen in this favela is that it lacks open spaces where children can play in a safe place, its structure is made up of narrow streets and alleys, which means that children often find themselves in the middle of confrontations with the police and are in great danger. It is for this reason that we have the obligation and the need to bring all children together in a safe space where they can learn and have fun.
- In the association we provide daily breakfast, meals and snacks to more than 70 children, because in their homes they do not have the resources to do so, this maintenance has been carried out so far by the two representatives of the project Mila and Hugo and also by some residents of the community itself who have donated food, unfortunately this aid has come to an end and there are no more resources to provide basic food to children.
Not all the children have access to education, in the association we ensure that they receive basic classes in each subject, we try to instil culture and art as pillars of knowledge, with this we intend to get them away from drug trafficking and criminality with which they live in their daily lives.

The amount of money to be raised is the budget needed to keep the school open for half year. The funds will be used to cover the basic costs of school maintenance, food, hygiene and health. In the following, we will describe in more detail approximately what the money raised will be used for.
1.700 € is the monthly expenditure we have in the association, where we break it down into:
1200 € for food to provide 3 basic meals for more than 70 children.
150 € for the maintenance of the facilities, such as repairing roofs, classrooms, bathrooms.
100 € for cleaning the space, and buying the necessary items against Covid-19.
100 € school supplies for the children.
150 € for other expenses including: paperwork and documentation of an association. Internet, telephone, trips out of the favela with the children, etc.
