Salmas Recovery Fund

Our friend, Salma has been diagnosed with Anaplastic thyroid cancer. It is an aggressive form of thyroid cancer that generally carries a very poor prognosis. 2 out of 1 million people are diagnosed with this type of cancer. This cancer is not funded in Canada since it is very rare. Salma's doctors have to get medication outside of Canada to help her during her treatments.

Due to her condition, Salma can no longer work, leaving her with no health insurance or life insurance. Salma is a widow and a mother of five daughters. We want to minimize the stress that comes with situations like this so that her daughters can easily care for her.
