Salmah's Refugee Volunteer Trip

Last year, I had the privilege of volunteering at two refugee camps in Northern Greece for 3 weeks. Each camp had grown to about 10,000 people and was in dire need of assistance. I worked with a wonderful team, Team Humanity, and we aided the refugees with basic human necessities such as food kits, tents, blankets, medical care, toiletries and clothing. There was no school for the children in the camps, so a group of
people accumulated some wood and boards, along with some cloth, and built a makeshift school. This is where I spent most of my days, teaching the children, some of whom were attending a school for the first time. It
was so hard to leave at the end of my volunteer period, especially knowing that there just weren't enough people to help. I knew I'd have to go back...

So here I am...over a year later, ready to go back. I have booked my ticket and will be going back, with Face of Humanity on July 16 - this time to camps in Turkey and Greece. Last year many of you had expressed interest in wanting to help monetarily, so here is your chance.

I am accepting any big or small donations going towards my trip. ANY donation of ANY size will help immensely! The more money I raise, the more effective I can be in making sure that the refugee's get basic human necessities that we all take for granted daily.
