It's been an eventful year for me, starting with six weeks in the hospital, surgery to fix six broken bones in my back, then a couple months of physical therapy and occupational therapy. On top of that, there were six months that I was on heavy pain relievers. Yeowza! I'm really glad that all of that is over now.
I just started my second round of physical therapy, and that's great, but during all this, financially speaking, things just got away from me. I'm dead broke and it's the end of the month. Lots of bills are due on Monday, and I don't have the money to pay for them yet.
On top of all that, Social Security suddenly decided that they had overpaid me at some point, so they kept 3/4 of one of my checks! I'm in a total bind, and that's why I need your help!
I am fighting the fight with Social Security. Their argument (that they overpaid me) is not valid, and I'll win, but we all know that reasoning with the government can be a long process. I'm working on four other new sources of monthly income, but each of those has a bit of a runway before they take off.
I don't live extravagantly at all. My average expenditures for the first seven months of 2017 were less than $1200 per month. No kidding! That's everything - rent, utilities, phone, internet, and food. It's a struggle to bring in that much, actually, but I've squeaked by till now, even with all this other adventure going on. When I get hit with an unexpected $50 or $100 bill, it's devastating! Well, that's what happened, then my Social Security payment was cut, and now I need your help.
I just need to get by for the next couple or three months and these other income sources should be up and running, but for now, I need some help. Any amount would be awesome and much appreciated!
