Sally's Recovery

Hi!  My name is Sally Wells Ezell.  I am a senior citizen who has been diagnosed with Charcot Foot.  It is a joint disease in the feet which causes the bones to deteriorate.  I have been fighting this disease for about three years now.  My right foot is already practically gone and my left foot is starting to get worse.  I have to wear boots on both feet for support.  I walk on my ankle bone without the boot on my right foot.  

Since I did not have my surgery in Columbus, I'm going to have to have my right foot amputated at Forbes Regional Hospital in Monroeville, PA on Wednesday, May 16.  I will be in the hospital in Monroeville for three days then I come back to Wheeling to go to Peterson Rehabilitation Hospital.   My recovery could take 10-12 weeks.

I am recuperating now  in Peterson.  I will be getting a prosthesis soon.  After I learn how to walk with it I'll be able to go home. 

But after I get home I'm going to need help with a few things.  I need a new roof in my dining room.  My sky lights leak and I need to have them removed.  My whole house needs painted.

My two dogs have been in a kennel.
So I'll owe them money.

My bills are piling up because I've been away for four months.
