Salinas Puerto Rico Service trip

A group of women from Holyoke Massachusetts want to volunteer to help the city of Salinas, Puerto Rico, in their recovery from Hurricane Maria. We chose Salinas because it is our sister city in Puerto Rico and many of us are concerned about the residents in Salinas after the devastation of Hurricane Maria.  Many of the group are nursing students at a local college and don't have the funds to travel. All of us have willing hearts.
We are going over Spring Break, March 9-March 16, 2018.  Any donations will be used to pay for students flights ($400/round trip per person) sleeping arrangements in Salinas ($90/night for all 12 of us!!),  food, and transportation to and from the San Juan Airport to Salinas.  We are hoping to raise at least $6000.00. Any extra funds will be donated to the city of Salinas community service center.
The Mayor of Salinas will be our host, and has arranged service projects for us involving visiting elders who are confined to their homes. We will be delivering supplies and assessing needs (more details to come on the project).
We thank you in advance for any donations you are willing and able to make.
