Salinas Beauty Clinic for Homeless Women

CSUMB Chinatown Beauty Clinic works hard to improve the livelihood of homeless women in Salinas Chinatown since Fall 2019.  We strive to make each one of our ladies feel special, welcomed, and safe. We provide goodie bags for hygienic, dental and feminine care as well as offer a face washing station where we help them clean their face.  We are completely run by volunteers and the support of the community. We have just finished our first Semester with much success. We are currently looking for donors to help us make sure we have all the materials we need to achieve our mission next semester. 

In each Chinatown Beauty Clinic we do our best to have the following: 
General Chinatown Beauty Clinic Goodie Bag
     - Contains: a small bar of soap, a small container of shampoo, a small container of conditioner, a medium container of sunscreen, a small tube of toothpaste and a small bottle of mouthwash.
      - Occasionally contains: face soap, lotions, face-up wipes, hair ties, lipstick, and other beauty products.
Feminine Goodie Bag
     - Available in addition to the General Goodie Bag for ladies who still have their menstrual cycle
Contains: 9 Day Pads and 3 Overnight Pads
Dental Goodie Bag
     - Limited to one  per person per semester
     - Contains: A travel toothbrush, a small tube of toothpaste, and a small bottle of mouthwash. It will also include a chapstick.
A snack (e.g. trail mix or protein bar)

We Currently Need:
$350 for 6 oz bottles of Sunscreen
$50 for Chapsticks
$75 for Travel Toothbrush
$45 for 1 oz tubes of Toothpaste
$30 for Dental Floss
$20 for Mouthwash
$100 for Travel Size Hair Brush
$30 for Day Pads 
$10 for Overnight Pads
$10 for Individually wrapped Pantiliners
$180 for other costs and buffer
