Salem Rose Krueger

Cole and Lacey Krueger went to Trinity in Minot to welcome their new baby to the world on Monday, April 15th. After a few hours of labor, Lacey’s water broke and when it did there was also a placental abruption. Lacey was rushed in for an emergency c-section and at 10:02 PM Salem Rose Krueger was born.

Salem spent hours fighting in the NICU under the care of Dr. Carver and his wonderful team of nurses. It was determined shortly after that Salem would have the best chance to continue her fight in Fargo. The flight team arrived and after a few hours had her stabilized enough to fly her to Fargo.

Salem was without oxygen for a time and as a result is fighting many health issues. She is receiving great care in Fargo. The primary medical treatment being used is called cooling which lowers Salem’s body temperature to 89-91 degrees to prevent swelling to the brain and other organs. She continues to fight and make us proud.

We are so grateful for the love and support of our family and friends. Thank you so much to our parents for taking care of our son Sullivan who loves to FaceTime with his baby sister. We are so blessed.
