UPDATE: Tiz asked me to add details here, before I tried to keep it anonymous.
You're probably all people that personally know the twins from London Tiz and Sally. They've been going through a terrible time with some historic abuse by family, which when it was revealed ended up with risk of death (knives were pulled) and them being made homeless.
The three of us just spoke to the social services and they've been successfully homed in a really lovely womens' shelter, as you can imagine leaving everything behind (well, being forced to) is daunting, but I know they'll kick ass. The social workers really think they're amazing for having done what they've done, many people don't have the guts to push for what's right.
They're getting help to get support, and in a few months hopefully will be able to work and live out, taking the first few steps to independence. Until then, they've got almost nothing and could use a little help for things like travel (they aren't in London anymore), food, necessities (a big one), clothes (we're hoping we can pick up their clothes from their home, but we're waiting until police give go ahead), etc etc etc.
With their permission I'm setting this up to get donations to Sally's PayPal, so they can use this to pay for clothing, food, etc. I'm pretty sure they'll get supported by the state soon enough, but they could really use help until then.
