Saket Singh Memorial Fund

Dear friends,

It gives me immense sorrow to share the untimely demise of our beloved friend, Saket Singh. Saket passed away on July 28th 2018 in Salt Lake City, Utah due to an unknown medical condition while playing a cricket match, the sport he loved the most. He was only 29 years old and is survived by his wife Reena. Saket and Reena had just begun their married life in February 2018.

Saket was always a brilliant, top-of-the-class student. He has recently graduated from the University of Utah with a Masters in Information Systems and had just begun his professional career as a Data Science Analyst in Utah.

Saket treated everyone equally and always had a smile on his face.  He brought much joy and love to all he knew. He was the humblest of people with an ever-helping attitude. There will be a noticeable void with his absence in our lives and hearts.

As you can imagine, the family is grieving right now and the last thing we want them to worry about is finances. Funeral expenses are only the beginning for this family. Funeral expenses will include transporting Saket to India, his wife, Reena’s flight tickets, funeral arrangements and memorial service.

We are reaching out to the community for donations to help offset his final expenses, and if possible to help relieve some of the financial strain Reena will face during this devastating time.

Anyone who knew Saket, knows that he had a huge heart and would help anyone who needed it. Please consider helping his family in their time of need.

We little knew that morning

God was to call your name.

In life we loved you dearly,

in death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you,

You did not go alone.

For part of us went with you

The day God called you home.

You left us beautiful memories,

Your love is still our guide,

And though we cannot see you,

You are always at our side.

In order to help Saket's family we have opened a Memorial Fund Account with First Utah Bank. It's a non-profit checking account and all the funds raised should go directly to the Memorial Fund Account for the Benefit of Saket Singh. The co-signer of the account is Mr. Devendra Mishra, a long time friend of Saket Singh, and has volunteered to transfer the funds to Saket's Family in India.

Thank you for all your support!
