Saint's healing wounds

Tax deductible
Saint was out looking for help, so much he curled up on my welcome mat in hopes the door would open, and he would be let in. In from the pain, cold and loneliness he clearly was experiencing.
When the door was open at 530am, he was found curled in a ball sleeping and shaking from the cold. Shocked at what I saw and yelled out and scared him.
The following pictures tell Saints story better than I could, because we don’t really know how he became this way and how he decided it was time to ask for help, thank goodness he did.
Since he came to EBARR we have discovered that he has several medical expenses and hurdlesuntil he can be physically healed. He has two broken teeth that have roots exposed and are clearly very painful. He has an enlarged bladder that he does not empty on his own with several underlined possible causes. He has a bad ear infection and that’s just the most immediate needs. He still needs the basics; vaccines, fecal exam, alteration, microchip and proper training. He has no manners; and seems to have never experienced life in a home, on a bed or in a car. Walking on a leash for the first time was a disaster. But he wags his tail through it all.
He has scars and wounds in various stages of healing on each and every part of his body, especially his face, ears and neck. He seems to be a wonderful dog with the kindest heart. He likes to feel your hands on his face and leans into you when you pet him.
We will never know what happened to this sweet boy, but its our job to make sure he never spends another day even close to the life he had before. He is a Lab/Pit Bull mix and it shows. He is completely trusting of us, even though he has been failed on more days by humans than not; that is the heart of a Pit Bull. He is goofy and has energy to spare; that’s the soul of a lab.
He picked us, however he knew that ours was the right welcome mat, we will never know. But he did….. and he is here…… and he is safe…… and he will be loved forever.

Will you join us by donating towards his healing?

We don’t know exactly what he will need medically or behaviorally, however we feel that we have a great team supporting him and that’s what makes rescue powerful.
If you would like to help you can donate here, you can drop by any adoption event and donate to his cause, or you can mail us a check to 5433 Clayton Rd. Unit K-125 Clayton, Ca. 94517
