Hello, I'm fundraising to continue the ongoing renovations of the new Saint Clare of Assisi Retreat Center in Hampton, Virginia. The Saint Clare of Assisi Retreat Center's mission is to "Encourage Spiritual Awareness and Growth through an Encounter with Christ." It will serve people of all Christian faiths for weekend retreats, prayer groups, bible studies, meetings and other events.
The nonprofit charity organization renovating the building is the Philippians 2 Foundation.
"If there is any encouragement in Christ, any solace in love, and participating in the Spirit, any compassion and mercy, completed my job by being of the same mind, with the same love, united in heart, thinking one thing. Do nothing out of selfishness or out of vainglory; rather, humbly regard others as more important than yourselves, each looking out not for his own interests, but also everyone for those of others. Have among yourselves the same attitude that is also yours in Christ Jesus." Philippians 2:1-5
The funds will go toward the outfitting of the dorm rooms in the Retreat Center. This includes lighting fixtures, ceiling tiles, paint, carpet floor tiles, curtains & curtain rods, single beds & mattresses, night stands. The Retreat Center is scheduled to open on August 29, 2020.
It would mean so much to me to raise these funds to have one of the dorm rooms named the 'Our Lady of Mount Carmel Room' after one of our local churches (Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church).
Any donation, small or large, will be greatly appreciated as we continue to do the Lord's work in evangelizing and bringing people to Christ. Your donation is tax deductible.
I pray that you will stay strong in your faith during these tough times of the Corona Virus and all the civil unrest. I have faith that God will see us through this season as He has always done -- we serve a faithful God. "Lord I Trust in You."
