<div>Infinity Expedition is now in Belem, Brazil, our last stop before heading into the Amazon River for our current EarthFlag journey.

<div>We arrived in Belem end of June and started highly motivated and with lots of excitement the last preparations before heading into the largest rainforest remaining on Earth, to raise the EarthFlag in the heart of the Amazon and at COP30 in Belem.

<div>Three weeks after our arrival, an armed robbery took place aboard Infinity. Approximately 50.000€ worth of items were stolen including our precious and urgently needed camera equipment and outboard engine.
</div>

<div>The Brazilian police came to our aid and they have been working overtime to retrieve the stolen items and keep us safe. Miraculously and with the generous help of locals, the policemen found most of our items. Unfortunately, all the camera equipment, a laptop and most other items are completely destroyed by the muddy waters of the river.

<div>This incident was a big hit for our expedition. We are incredibly fortunate to not be physically insured and to have each other for love and support. We are receiving an overwhelming amount of care and hands on support from the people of Belem, from friends and family and from strangers and even from the institutions of Belem. We will come out of this stronger than ever; with more hope, more trust, more friends, more reach and more support.

<div>Our determination to raise the EarthFlag in the heart of the Amazon and at COP30 is increasing by the minute and the urgency to unite the people of Earth to care for our magnificent planet and all the beautiful souls in it (including all forms of life) remains at a maximum.

<div>To continue, we urgently need to replace the stolen items, make up for lost time and energy and implement the many lessons learned.

<div>Infinity Expedition has a rich 20-year history of wild expeditions around the world. Since 2018, we carry the EarthFlag to the farthest reaches of our planet on Mission Earth. We aim to raise awareness for Earth’s beauty and need for protecting habitats and biodiversity. We helped establish Uon.Earth, enabling everyone on the planet with a smartphone to protect m² of nature and to support charities of choice with ease.

<div>We explore some of the wildest and most remote places on our planet, showcasing the fascination and fragility of their various ecosystems we encounter. Over the years we have produced TV shows &amp; films, co-created projects like EarthFlag, Uon.org, Uon.Earth and Sail4Earth and we have joined forces with many people to create positive impact for humans and for the environment.

<div>After raising the EarthFlag North (2018) and South (2022), we recently sailed to Brazil. From here, we will venture West, deep into the mighty rivers of the largest rainforests left on Earth. We will meet with the people of the forest and the rivers and listen to and share their stories and wisdom about this fragile environment. We will join the COP30 Climate Change Conference to promote peace, unity and nature conservation.

<div>Many sailing ships are joining us at COP30 with Flotilla4Change, an initiative supported by their global ambassador Greta Thunberg. Infinity is the flagship of this flotilla, symbolizing our common mission towards sustainability and peace with the EarthFlag.

For this we already received approximately 20% of the total amount needed for new sails which cost a minimum of 30.000€. Due to the robbery, there is more urgency to replace the stolen items than to buy new sails. At the same time, without new sails we will remain stuck in Brazil.
