Hey Friends,
In September, I will be embarking on an 11-month journey, with nothing but a hiking backpack, Jesus, and 50-60 other crazy people. We will be serving as missionaries with an organization called Adventures in Missions, through one of their programs called The World Race. Over the course of the 11 months we will be serving in the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, Rwanda, Uganda, South Sudan, Nepal, India, Ukraine, and Romania, for one month each.We will partner with churches and ministries in local communities to share the gospel, help to renew and revive churches through construction and labor, wrap arms of warmth and speak Christ's love to the motherless and fatherless, and bring life and hope and love to women and children who are trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking.
The trip is going to cost 15,500 which will cover airfare, travel, living costs, and food. I have several specific deadlines I must meet:
$3,500 is due by June 29, which is about 2 weeks before I go to a week of Training Camp in the Atlanta area.
$6,500 is due August 18, which is roughly 2 weeks before we launch out.
$11,000 is due December 1, which will mark 3 months on the field.
15,500 is due March 1, which will mark 6 months on the field.
I am faithfully praying and believing that I raise the full $15,500 by September 1st, when I launch. I want to be able to be 100% present in sharing Christ's love and planting seeds, and not be full of worry over my next financial deadline.
I will also need to raise roughly $4,000 - $5,000 dollars for personal funds, which include a hiking backpack, tent, sleeping bag, and sleeping pad, my airfare to and from training camp, and our airfare to our launch city, as well as all the vaccinations I will need to receive before I leave.
