Sahid's training for service dog

Hello,
This is the story of my 7 year old son Sahid. Sahid is a brave little boy full of love and energy. He is a natural athlete and a dancer. When he was 6 years old he was diagnosed with ADHD. He had a hard time focussing in school and began to have many challenges he had to overcome. We tried to accomodate him as best as we could and little did we know that at the beginning of this year back in February, Sahid would soon have seizures. We have been in and out of doctors offices and referred to many different speacialists. Finally in June, Sahid was able to be tested by a neurologist who then diagnosed him with partial complex seizures.  Sahid was geting seizures on the daily basis and they would happen about every hour or so and last about a minute and a half. We tried different several medications which caused many side effects where they were affecting his ADHD more and altered his behavior. Many of them made him nauseous and he was just on a roller coaster, some days were worse than others. Finally, we seemed to get them under control after many adjustments and hospitalizations. He had the summer off from school and we started school early August. Sahid started strong but then I realized he started to decline. He was becoming very tired and less active, which is very unusual for him. He then started having a hard time reading and recognizing his letters. Soon I was informed by the school nurse he failed his eye exam.  He started to get really sick with night time sweats, headaches, vomitting, and losing weight. I also noticed he was constantly thirsty and had to potty many more times than usual. His seizures had come back as well on top of everything else. I began to worry more and more and kept taking him to see his doctors and specialists. Eventually, he ended up lethargic and we went straight into ER. There, they drew blood as usual but this time they checked for many more tests than the old routine. They confirmed his sugar was extremely high and Sahid was in DKA (Diabetic Ketoacidosis). We were then admitted into the hospital and there we learned he had Type 1 Diabetes. Our life changed completely into what is now our new normal. Even though we have had a rough year Sahid is a very strong boy who fights and recovers quickly. He is learning to check his blood sugar and is coping very well. He is a lot stronger than me. As we are still new to Diabetes he is in what they call "the honeymoon stage" where we are still trying to get his sugars under control. He is currently taking two types of insulin, ADHD medication, and Antiseizure medication. As a parent the drastic changes of his sugar is very scary. He will go down from 253 to 42 in less than an hour and show no signs or symptoms. This is why I am asking you for help. With all the medical expenses we currently have and will continue to have we are struggling in affording a service dog. Normally service dogs are extremely expensive but I have found an amazing Director/trainer that will help us train our dog for a lot less than you would normally pay for a full trained dog. I believe Sahid will benefit from a serice dog because the dog will alarm us when he is having low or high sugars. The dog will also be trained to sense seizures, we have been experiencing seizures along with his drastic low sugars. We have realized that his low sugars happen during the day, but the scariest ones are the ones during the middle of the night. As a parent, I cannot sleep in peace not knowing where his sugars are. I know that having our service dog with us at all times will alert us when any of these changes are about to occur or occuring.
With that being said, we already have the puppy, and the puppy has began her first classes. Please help us fund her classes so that she can continue to train and be prepared to help us. Thank you so much for your generosity and taking the time to read Sahid's story. From the bottom of our hearts we truly thank you.
