Air Purifier Update...they have been ordered.

You all are incredible!!

Thank-you to each and every one of you who contributed, shared and supported the effort to buy air purifiers for all the classrooms and other high traffic rooms.

We were able to purchase 47 units including 1 of the Health Protect unit for the nurses room.

That means when someone is ill in the room the nurse will be able to turn that machine on high and clean all the air every 5 min or so really minimizing exposure of the illness to anyone else in the room or passing by.

A special thank-you to our two community partners.

We can’t do it without your support.

I
f every family, Teacher or Staff Member donated only $30 per person who enters the building, and/or attends school we would easily meet our goal.

Are you able to give more? AMAZING because we know not every family or person is able to give something.

NO amount is too small.

Higher Test Scores

We all want the best for our kids and want them to achieve their best. Air quality has a direct relationship to increased test scores and proficiency in both math and reading. So this data shows that having better air quality will not only keep or kids healthier now but it will benefit them for life helping them be better learners.

Watch The Webinar (recorded Nov. 19, 2020)
Webinar: Indoor Air Quality in K-12 Schools: Addressing the Concept of Layered Risk Amidst COVID-19

These are the cliff notes from the webinar: A portable air cleaner + mask can reduce the dose of possible infection in the air to approximately 88% it’s around 66% with masks alone and this is with assuming an increase of air exchanges to 3.8 an hour. All of the air cleaners we are looking at for all proposed classroom air purifiers are capable of doing 4 or more air exchanges in an hour and so will have a higher reduction rate in our classrooms.

Want to get to the info in the webinar quickly?

45min mark at the 45-49min for the section that talks specifically about adding portable air cleaners and goes through the data and how that reduces the risks of infection .
