Hello,
My name is Nate Tupper and I am the head instructor at SAF Kung fu. SAF Kung fu is a traditional martial arts school teaching self defense and self healing exercises passed down from the Shaolin Monks from China. My school is open to anyone regardless of age and ability. My main objective is to show good people how to become healthier for themselves and feel strong enough so they can defend their loved ones. The environment is relaxed, friendly and spiritually uplifting. It is an honor for me to know so many great people and I see all of my students as my family.
Last summer I was rear ended by a drunk driver on the highway. This caused me to miss work and go out on an FMLA to treat the injuries to my neck, head and shoulder. Ultimately I was placed out of work long enough to lose my position. The good news is, I have just recently been hired on for full time work doing Direct Support for a client with developmental disabilities. Although that is a great step, I am still too far behind on rent and utility bills to the point that I have been asked to vacate my studio space. There is a way to save it- but I will need to come up with some back rent immediately. I feel awful asking anyone for help but I truly believe that thru my school I am offering something special to the community.
I believe that if we all work together (and fast) that we can save our school, and continue to promote self healing and self confidence to those who need it. I will be eternally greatful for any support people may offer and no amount is too small. Although it is very hard for me to ask like this, I feel an obligation to give this a shot for the students who have become my family.
Thank you,
Nate Tupper
