South African Aussies for the Aussie Farmers
We appreciate being welcomed into Australia. This is now our home and that is why we support the campaign for the Aussie farmers affected by the severe drought. Many of them had below-average rains for the past seven years on their farms resulting in drought in parts of Queensland, NSW, Victoria and Southern Australia. We recognize that farmers play an important role in any country and we need to assist them, when they are doing it tough.
Let us, as Australians from South Africa, show our support by donating to these devastated families, who either must sell or see their cattle and sheep dying due to a lack of pasture, the high cost of feeding and no or limited surface water.
This GoFundMe campaign runs in addition to the donation of gift cards and non-perishable goods (which can be dropped off at participating South African shops as listed on the SA Events Facebook page) and offers an easy way to help those families who must deal with these dire and devastating circumstances.
