A Hand Up thru SafeHouse Outreach

This year one of my goals was to become educated in how to help our homeless population in Atlanta.  I became involved in a variety of outreach programs and soon learned that in order to really help I needed to find a successful, dynamic and committed Outreach.  I found that kind of program at SafeHouse Outreach in downtown Atlanta.  

SafeHouse is a haven for Atlanta's homeless community that started in 1982 and has been instrumental in impacting lives and changing communities.  This group offers two meals daily to their clients, takes care of medical needs, provides a warming room for inclement weather and connects their clients to needed services and support.

The Biggest Fundraiser of the year is the annual Gala that will be held on April 21st.  This year the funds raised will go straight to their career development program that focuses on training for direct full time employment and housing.  My goal is to raise $1000.00 from you guys and then Russell and I will match each donation given in hopes to raise at least $2000.  I promise your hard earned dollars will go to wonderful programs for those in need that truly give a hand up and not a hand out.
