Safe Riding for Liam

Donation protected
Liam McIntosh is a happy almost-11-year-old boy who happens to be 100% dependent on those around him.  He is a survivor who was born before 24 weeks gestation, and he needs our help.  The McIntosh family have been dear friends of ours and pretty much family for about 12 years...  We have loved watching them love Liam.  But something we have learned as we have watched them is that the need for a wheelchair has touched nearly every aspect of their lives.  Doorways, staircases, and bathtubs all have to be adapted.  Liam just received a brand new heavy-duty wheelchair that fits his body well but does not break down for easy storage into their old Suburban.  The process is time consuming and nearly impossible.  The McIntosh family has been making do with their Suburban since his birth, but as Liam grows taller he requires odd angles of entry for Liam and overhead, difficult lifting for his parents.  A handicap accessible van would make an enormous difference in their daily lives.

Liam had a gofundme that ran a few years ago for this same purpose.  The family backed off of fundraising and started saving with the faith that when the time was right they'd finally get a van.  Liam's family was recently approached by a sweet couple who saw pictures and videos of Liam's struggles and wanted to help. This couple asked that a new gofundme be started because they want to match the money raised dollar for dollar, no matter the amount! Your $10 become $20, $100 becomes $200 and even your $1000 becomes $2000!

Those of you that know them personally know that they are hesitant to ever ask for something like this, but the couple insisted God had laid it on their hearts to see this matching donation fundraiser go forward...  they've even matched what Liam's first fundraiser brought in to get this one kickstarted!!

Everything you give goes directly to the sole purpose of providing proper transportation for Liam and his many doctor appointments (some are hours away), therapies, and school.  As a result, it will go towards giving Liam as normal a life as possible.  No more hoisting at odd angles into a seat that doesn't support him appropriately.  He will have the dignity of traveling - properly and safely seated - just like any other child.
