Safe Passage for Oleksandra and Kids
Donation protected
Hello friends and neighbors,
Yana Karp, a Hereford resident, reached out to her community for help setting up a new home for her cousin Oleksandra Muratova and her children who are fleeing the horrific atrocities in U kraine. Yana and her family have put all of their money into securing flights, hotels, and food for Oleksandra and her children Olexandr and Maxym in their journey. At the moment of writing, after several cancelled flights, they are in Barcelona. So far, the costs of just getting flights and securing a place for the three to stay has cost $10,000.

I will post photos of the kids and Olexandra, apologies some of them are older photos that Yana was able to send me, looking through photos in this crisis seemed less relevant than trying to make this fundraiser available as soon as possible.
Below, I will paste Olexandra's letter to the US embassy, to allow her to tell her own story:

Oleksandra Muratova fled U kraine with two children. They survived a very long and difficult route. First, from Kyiv to western U kraine, then they crossed the border with Slovakia but were not able to find suitable housing for children. Through the Czech Republic, they got to Poland, but there was the same situation. And they had to go on. As a result, they made it to Estonia and stayed temporarily with an Estonian family.
Eventually, the three were able to make it to Barcelona after cancelled flights due to snow, and are enduring further delays due to both of the boys falling ill from the stress of travel and displacement.

Olexandra's husband stayed in U kraine as he was subject to mobilization. He lost his job due to the war and cannot help them in any way.
The only close relative that they have are two cousins. They live in the USA, have jobs, and really want to help the family. The goal of this fundraiser is to help Olexandra and her children to reach her cousins in the United States who can help her rebuild her life there.
