I’m asking for help on behalf of my coworker, Deborah Rodriguez, for Deborah’s daughter and her two children, who have been homeless for several weeks after their father left and took their belongings. Deborah is their grandmother, and all she wants is to see them safe, secure, and finally in a place they can call home. 
 
 
 Deborah’s daughter is working hard and doing everything she can to provide for her children, but right now she needs help getting into a safe and stable home. One of Deborah’s grandchildren is autistic, which makes staying in a shelter especially difficult and adds even more urgency to finding housing. 
 
 
 They are raising funds for a $3,000 apartment security deposit so Deborah’s daughter and grandchildren can move toward stable housing. Any additional support will help with food, furniture, transportation, and other basic necessities as they rebuild. 
 
 
 Deborah has tried every way she can to help, including trying to borrow the money herself and offering to repay it from her paychecks, but she has not been able to come up with what they need.
