Over the course of the last two weeks I have been recently been diagnosed with lung cancer. Yes you read that right, and everyone that hears this, including my doctors say the same thing, "your so young, you don't smoke, you don't drink, you don't do drugs, you work out 3-5 times a week", but what I have learned over the last month or so is that this is something that can happen to anyone. 10% of all diagnosed lung cancer patients never smoked, worked out, etc. In other words no reason is needed. So far I have been surrounded by supportive family, and friends, and I simply ask that you send your prayers, support, and uplifting as I trust in God to lead me through the process to recovery. During this process I hope that I can be an inspiration to others, a point of reference in the future, and in the end a recovery patient as my grandfather always said, "Lord willing" The toughest thing to do which has not been required, but I know is needed is changing my diet, followed by keeping up with information. If you see me in the gym, sometimes I may need a push, don't let me off the hook. Unless I'm physically unable, be sure to make me get through the workouts which will be important as I get further into treatment. As of right now, I'm cleared to eat as usual and workout as usual, and I'm preparing for this fight, and taking one day at a time. I have positive doctors, family, and friends, and would appreciate the prayers, well wishes, and support more than anything. If you are finding out through this post, blame it on my mind, not my heart, it gets hard to keep up with everybody, but leave all the positive thoughts over here, and put the rest on somebody else's page.
Thanks in advance, I'm riding with God on this one!!!
