We are raising funds to build a lifesaving well as an act of Sadaqah Jariyah (continuous charity) in loving memory of Marium Yaqub—a beloved daughter, a cherished sister, a caring aunty, and a person of immense strength and kindness.

The recent passing of Marium has been a deeply difficult time for her family and friends. While nothing can fill the void of her absence, we can honor her memory by bringing joy to those she loved through this act of charity. By providing clean water to those in need, we ensure that her kindness and compassion continue to touch lives.

The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:

"The best charity is giving water to drink." (Sunan Ibn Majah 3684)

This well will serve up to 120 people in a small neighborhood or village in Pakistan, benefiting 15-20 houses and being built near a mosque or school, ensuring access to water for families, students, and worshippers.

The Prophet (ﷺ) also said:

"When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: Sadaqah Jariyah (a continuous charity), knowledge that benefits others, and a righteous child who prays for him." (Sahih Muslim 1631)

This is the biggest well to offer in Pakistan, ensuring long-term benefit to an entire community. Every penny raised will go directly towards building this well, allowing Marium’s legacy of kindness and resilience to live on through the gift of water.
