**Today, at 11:21am, we lost this champion, this marathon runner both in the physical and in the spiritual sense of the word. My dad was a kind man, seriously one of the kindest people to walk the earth. He never knew a stranger. He loved all of us DEEPLY, and trained us in the ways of the Lord. He was always there when any of us needed a shoulder to cry on or someone to talk to. He always said the phrase “God is faithful” no matter WHAT he was going through. I have zero doubts about where he is today. I know that this earth is not our home and I rejoice in the fact that we will see him again in eternity. Please, keep my family in your prayers today as we navigate this gut wrenching tragedy. We love you, daddy.

On Saturday, December 5th, the Sadler family received a phone call that will forever change their lives. Upon reviewing some of Paul’s bloodwork from his Primary Care visit earlier that day, his doctor called stating that his hemoglobin was 4.5 and that he needed to be rushed to the ER immediately. (Normal is 10-12) Upon multiple tests, CT scans & x-Rays, the doctors determined that Paul has a honeydew sized tumor growing on his hip that is 18cm in diameter.
The tumor has been there so long it’s been pushing against other his organs. One of those organs is the small intestine. The way cancer works is that when it’s it’s pushing against something long enough, it can become connected to another organ. This tumor is physically joined and connected to part of his intestine. Additionally, It’s either invading, or encasing, or growing around the inferior vena cava, which is the largest vein in the human body. The mass is also either compressing his right ureter, growing around it, or encasing it.
To remove the mass, the surgeons would have to remove the 3rd part of his duodenum. They might have to remove his right ureter, and when you remove the ureter, there’s a chance that they might have to remove his kidney as well. And because this mass is totally encasing his vena cava, the surgeons might have to remove part of his vena cava and do some kind of vascular reconstruction. The complexity of all of that is out of this world for the majority of surgeons.
On top of all of this, Paul has been tested positive for COVID-19, and has double pneumonia.
Due to Paul being the main breadwinner for the family & losing his income entirely, at the end of December, the Sadler family will have zero income & a mountain of medical bills & living expenses to pay. The money from this GoFundMe will go directly to help pay for medical & living expenses for the Sadler family.
The Sadler family asks that if you are not able to give monetarily for everyone to please give in the form of prayer. They are firm believers that God is in control of this tragic situation & they are praying that His will be done, in Jesus’s name.
