Sadie's Needs Surgery

Meet Sadie!! Sadie is a 15 month old adorable, loving, energetic girl! She was adopted by Melissa a year ago from a New York based rescue. She was born in Georgia and at just a few months old spent several weeks in an animal hospital after being hit by a car. Though lucky to have survived the accident it left Sadie with several fractures to her left pelvis, hip and knee. Initially, Sadie was able to walk and play like a puppy without surgery; however, the fracture and luxating patella have now become debilitating!

Sadie wants to run and play but due to her injuries is not able to without serious pain. She shows pain when she walks and often walks on 3 legs. She is very limited. There was hope that as Sadie grew older surgery wouldn’t be necessary but with constant pain, consistently lame and with an orthopedist evaluation the only option now is surgery.

Sadie still has a chance to keep all 4 legs and live a pain free life! But help is needed! The rescue has given some money towards her medical care; however, the balance remains in the thousands. It’s not only surgery that is needed but she will need extensive rehabilitation afterwards.

Both Gotham Veterinary Hospital and Canine Rehab will he supporting Sadie through this recovery. Everything is being done at cost and any help is greatly appreciated!
