Welcome to our gofundme website for Sadie. We are collecting donations to help Sadies bills while she is recovering as this will be a very long day by day process. Her deductible alone is over $9,000. Thank you for visiting.
Sadie had a brain aneurysm February 19th while at work at the Mayo Clinic. They got her into St. Mary's ICU in a matter of minutes. Surgeons performed an angioplasty and stopped the bleeding in her brain by placing a metal coil in the ruptured vessel. This morning she was breathing on her own and moving her right side alot and the left a little. They took her in for a CT scan an hour ago and found more bleeding in her brain. The coil has moved. This time she will need a craniotomy to try to stop it. They told us a third bleed would be fatal.
She is in surgery now. Sadie continues to be in critical condition at St. Mary's Hospital at the Mayo Clinic. She is back on the ventilator and heavily sedated. She is still moving on the right side and a bit on the left. Her brain is very swollen and that will increase over the next couple of days. Her doctors are currently deciding if they will need to take more skull out to accommodate that swelling. We are waiting to hear more on that.
