Why are we doing this?
Zahida Nasreen Abbas was full of life and always accomplished the impossible despite her illnesses. She, unfortunately, lost the long battle and passed away on January 28, 2019. All those who knew Nasreen are deeply grieving her loss everyday. She truly positively affected all those she came in contact with. In honor of such a beautiful soul, this campaign sprouted. We pray you'll support.
The Mission
Working alongside Muslim Aid, USA, we are raising money to build a Deep Bore hole (80-100 feet) solar panel water pump - In Yemen .
One water purification system costs $7,500. Our aim is to reach this goal before Ramadan-end, this is only possible with your support. Anything over the goal amount will go towards other causes sponsored by Muslim Aid, USA.
Why this matters
In Islam, we believe all the deeds of a human come to a full stop upon departing this world besides three. The Prophet Muhammed (peace and blessings be upon him, his family, his companions, and all those who follow him until the last day) said "When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); knowledge which is beneficial; or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (the deceased)." [Sahih Muslim]. This water well will be a Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity) for her and will continue to benefit her while she is in her grave insha'Allah (God Willing) with every person that benefits!
