Innā lillāhi wa innā ilayhi rājiʿūn.
Surely, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return.
Our beloved grandmother was more than a caregiver she was a mercy from Allah to us. When we lost our parents at a young age, Allah placed her in our lives as a source of love, comfort, and guidance. She raised us with patience and sacrifice, always reminding us of Allah and teaching us through her example how to live with faith and dignity. she did not only raise us with love and sacrifice, but she also opened her heart and home to orphans in need. She lived the Prophetic teaching: “The one who cares for an orphan will be with me in Paradise like this,” and the Prophet ﷺ held up two fingers together. Her life was a shining example of compassion and faith. She gave without hesitation, comforted without complaint, and carried the burdens of others with a smile. Through her, many children found not only shelter, but the warmth of a mother’s love. We pray that Allah accepts every act of kindness she did as a form of ṣadaqah jāriyah (continuous charity), that her reward multiplies for every orphan she cared for, every heart she healed, and every prayer she made for us.
Her heart was full of kindness, her hands full of giving, and her tongue often filled with duʿā. Through her, we learned what it means to have sabr, to hold onto hope, and to trust in Allah’s plan.
Though she has returned to her Lord, her legacy of love and iman will remain in our lives forever. We pray that Allah forgives her shortcomings, fills her grave with light, and grants her Al-Firdaws Al-Aʿlā, where she may be reunited with our parents and all those she loved.
Ya Allah, reward our grandmother for every sacrifice she made, for every tear she wiped from our eyes, and for every prayer she whispered on our behalf. Make her among those whom You are pleased with, and reunite us with her in eternal peace.
