To Allah we belong and to him is our return

Our beloved father was taken from us so suddenly and unexpectedly. We take consolation in the fact that Almighty blessed him with a death that he had begged for. He lived his life in such a way that he was rewarded with a unique and superior chosen end. May Allah SWT grant him the highest abode in Jannatul Firdous Al-A’alaa, forgive him, have mercy on him, expand his grave, purify him and increase his rewards. Aameen.

For anyone who came across our father they will all tell the same tale, of his humbleness, kindness, warmth and generosity. A man whose love for our beloved Prophet SAW knew no bounds and whose desire to continuously give in sadaqah and charity went on very literally until his last breath.

We hope and pray that we are able to continue this legacy he has left behind.

The Prophet SAW said: Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him likewise in Paradise.” [Sahih-al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim]

We would like to raise funds to build a Masaajid in a destitute village in Africa. Current Salaah facilities in rural Africa comprise of thatch structures that are easily destroyed by the elements of weather. This Masjid will allow communities to come together to pray and interact. It is our fervent hope that our beloved father would have loved this act.

We are also fundraising for a borehole in Africa. In Malawi about 4 million people continue to lack access to safe drinking water. Women and children in Malawi walk under the burning sun for hours to find water. Providing a borehole gives communities clean, safe drinking water, a chance to grow crops, time for a child to study and be a child and protection against disease.

It is narrated in a Hadith that Sa’ad ibn Ubadah asked the Prophet Muhammad SAW which charity is the best and he replied: “A drink of water”

We ask you to donate whatever you are able to. As the Prophet Muhammad SAW said: “Sadaqah extinguishes sin as water extinguishes fire."
