Sadaqa Mali

Donation protected

Background:
Sadaqa Mali was started during the prime of the pandemic in December 2020 by a pharmacy student named Adam Aicha Hanne. Aicha's goal was to create small care packages for different communities throughout the country of Mali. Aicha understood that many people living in Mali did not have equitable access to basic hygienic products and over-the-counter drugs such as hand sanitizer, face masks, feminine care, and acetaminophen. Therefore, she took the initiative and asked her community members to donate towards a humanitarian effort. With the support of her community members, Aicha hosted Sadaqa Mali for two consecutive years. In 2021, Sadaqa Mali took place in a small village known as Bandoma near the city of Kita. In Bandoma, she and her family members distributed over 300 Hygenic bags to women, children, and adults. Aicha plans on continuing Sadaqa Mali in hope that it will grow beyond what it is today to serve a greater purpose.

Description:
Sadaqa Mali aims at distributing hygienic care packages to women, children, and the general population (adults). Care packages consist of hand sanitizer, children/adult face masks, infant/children/adults acetaminophen, women's pads, reading glasses, and disinfecting wipes. The care package also includes items donated by community members.

All proceeds will be used to purchase the said items above to create the care packages, including travel expenses and miscellaneous items (i.e. paper brown bags, ziplock snack bags, gloves, and shipping)

Sadaqa Mali plans on taking its third trip to Mali this upcoming May in hopes of continuing its youthful legacy.

Thank you for your time. We look forward to your support.
