Sad & Sudden Death - Avery, 2yr Old

My youngest brother, Randy, tragically lost his 2 year old son earlier this year where they reside in Foley, AL. Avery's death was sudden and unexpected having never had any signs or symptoms leading up to his passing. A combination of a med-flight and pediatric emergency care in the hospital ICU have left Avery's family with medical bills in excess of $35k after insurance claims/coverage. These bills have only started to come into their hands and more invoicing is expected that could result in a terrible financial debt added to their tragedy of losing a child.

Many co-workers, friends and family of Randy, Barbara and Ethan have asked how they can help. Now that some time has passed, we are all learning that the best assistance may be to help lift some of this burden financially - I am asking for donations through Gofundme.com. Please know that my brother is a proud man and would never ask for help on his own. As a father, older brother and sibling, I have imagined their challenge to be one of the most painful a family can experience and believe a helping hand requested on his behalf may elicit some relief - please pass this along on any social media you are comfortable with.

"Avery Davis Cathers' soul was brought into this world on Feb 19, 2016 at 738 am, and was the most beautiful baby in the world, with his blonde hair and blue eyes (that came out of nowhere). Sadly, on Feb 24 at 639 am his soul left this world while we held him in our arms. He was the strongest fighter and held on as long as he could...Avery was the most beautiful, smart, happy, smiling child that I know and this is why we wanted to celebrate his life, because although it was short, he had a great one."
