Dear Friends,

It finally feels like spring! New life is all around. I can see robins rummaging for food in my back yard among the dandelions that seem to have multiplied exponentially overnight.  The woods are finally starting to wake up from their winter hibernation with hues of green. It is the season for life!

As I think about what new life means, I think about this past nine months of watching SacredWomyn come into being. In these months, SacredWomyn has come alive! Within this time, I have been able to:

·       Offer a one-day retreat, The Sacred Within

·       Create more of an online presence

·       Learn more about business/nonprofit management

·       Speak at Beacon Heights Church of the Brethren (text can be found here)

·       Begin a women’s spirituality circle that meets monthly

·       Create a series of sensitivity trainings addressing power and privilege (WIP)

·       Write an article addressing the way in which we talk about privilege (WIP)

Through this work, SacredWomyn has already become a resource, a safe haven, and a spiritual community for many. As I think about and talk to others about the sustainable future of SacredWomyn, my goals for the next year or so include:

·       Coordinate a circle of visionaries (in lieu of a board of directors) which will meet at least once annually

·       Continue the womyn’s spirituality circle

·       Offer two retreats annually

·       Write articles/liturgy/rituals pertaining to the vision and mission of SacredWomyn

·       Continue to work creating a series of sensitivity trainings

·       Become more of a visible resource for individuals and organizations seeking ways in which to create safe spaces for womyn and queer people

·       Increase SacredWomyn’s online presence

·       Continue to build support for SacredWomyn by sharing its vision and mission with individuals as well as establishing more connections with organizations which share the values of SacredWomyn

In order to accomplish these things, I am once again asking for your financial help. Will you continue to join me in the important work of building spiritual community and creating safe space in Northern Indiana for those who have been marginalized from religious institutions, particularly women and queer people, to explore the Sacred?

In humble gratitude for your support,

  Carrie Fry-Miller
