This August, a conference is happening in Portugal called DEFEND THE SACRED. It's an Intentional Gathering on Sacred Activism, prompted by the resistance at Standing Rock in 2016.
I WANT TO GO. Let’s talk.
QUESTION
How do we make a difference in the world? Like REALLY make a difference...inspire and manifest change. How do we wake people up? Motivate ourselves to participate in the dream? Create safer spaces? Make art with stronger messages? Who are we really and WHY are we destroying the planet and how do we stop it and where do we go from there?
INSERT: Healing Biotope I. TAMERA . An intentional community and learning center in Portugal; They just celebrated 20 years of existence.
TAMERA’S VISION STATEMENT:
“The Healing Biotope I Tamera is a peace research project with the goal to create the model for a future society that is free from hatred, lies, violence and fear. Tamera should become an acupuncture point of peace, a greenhouse of trust, a prototype for an existence free of fear on this planet, a post-capitalist societal model and a place where the human and meta realm of life come together.”

I want to be there, immersed in the magic of humans who have given years of their lives doing everything in their power to manifest a future we all want to live in. I want to listen to the speakers, I want to participate in workshops, and I want to network with the movers of the resistance, the revolution; the rebuilding.
WHY
I want to see with my own eyes the land they have developed. I want to feel the vibrations of their creative alternative. I want to witness the developing of a global plan to unite the 99% and move forward in tangible and effective ways. I want to align myself with the direction and focus of the brilliant minds who will gather here, gaining momentum to carry forth my own project, aligned with their reimagined reality for humanity.

WHAT BROUGHT ME HERE
Early Winter 2016 decided I was done running a mental cycle of restless acceptance versus aggressive discomfort having settled into my 9-5 job, apartment with a view, closets full of clothes lifestyle. I woke up one day realizing that I had to do something darastic to break free.
I quit the job, sold everything I owned (and I owned a LOT of stuff), gave up the apartment, said bye to my loves and bought a one way ticket to a 3rd world country. After a few months traveling I locked down a small cabin in the jungle.
Here I quickly discovered it’s going to be IMPOSSIBLE for me to run from the plight of humanity. I won’t be satisfied with my easy-ish solution (A small group of individuals living outside the masses) and I itched almost immediately to get back to my people, my city, my community, and start BEING a part of the revoltution.
But I knew I had to return with a plan. So I made one.
THIS IS STEP 1 OF MY PLAN.
And I need YOU to come with me...metaphorically speaking. Or physically because that would be radical also. Any donation helps. Seriously. And I thank you in advance for considering supporting me.
BASE COST TOTAL (10 Day Conference at Tamera) $2945
Seminar Fee: 480 Euros = $705
Food and Tent Accomodation: 300 Euros = $440

Post-Portugal I plan to return to Vancouver to begin phase 2 of 'the plan.' To start, I will be hosting a gathering or gatherings, to share what I learned and experianced at Tamera and beyond.
