Sacred Heart Music Center Recovery Fund Campaign

The COVID-19 pandemic has been devastating to those in the music and entertainment world.  Sacred Heart Music Center  is no exception. Our heart goes out to the musicians who no longer have a live stage to share their work.  Without regular programming, the nonprofit, volunteer-run music center has no reliable revenue.  Without daily activity, the building is a target for vandalism and theft.

In August and September, the Music Center had two break-in resulting in the loss of sound equipment, two guitars, and an office computer.  These break-ins were the first time in 30+ years anyone from Sacred Heart Music Center has had to file stolen property reports.

The Sacred Heart Board has authorized funds for monitor replacements ($3,000) and wall speakers ($1,000), and sound engineer Eric Swanson placed an order for new equipment.  We also lost a guitar ($500) and an office computer ($500).  The Board is repairing the doors,  installing security equipment, as well as purchasing additional insurance ($1,000).  We are also requesting additional support to help with our significant winter heating bills ($1,500).

The Board has launched a $7,500 GoFundMe campaign  to help replace the lost equipment and support heating expenses.

In an effort to remain active during the coronavirus pandemic and serve the Twin Ports music community,  Sacred Heart  Music Center has invested in a new high-definition Internet connection to facilitate a quality performance space where artists can safely share their work with the community.  We look forward to hosting in-person concerts again in the future.  In the meantime, we hope that you enjoy our regular YouTube livestreams.
