Hi friends! Happy new year!
Our mission in 2019 is to actively promote independence and self-esteem of intellectually and developmentally disabled adults through sustainable employment. Our son Josh, and many of his peers, struggle to gain and maintain meaningful employment. Statistics show that over 80% of disabled people in the US are unemployed. We hope to move that needle in a positive direction for these loving and uniquely-abled individuals, showcasing their value by allowing them opportunities to connect with and serve the community.
We are launching a not-for-profit coffee shop called Sacred Groundz, starting with a coffee truck and adding a coffee shop as soon as funds allow. Our immediate need is to convert the truck pictured below into a useful java mobile.
