Sachiko's relief fund

Donation protected
My father, Steve, has been in the hospital for two weeks. Dad has battled with COPD for many years and we have grown accustomed to having a hospital stay every year or two. This time has been very different. His COPD has caused other issues, heart failure and kidney problems. The doctors were at a standstill at the hospital. The cardiologist said my dad only had a few weeks tops, so the family made the decision on Monday to bring dad home under hospice care. My mom, Sachiko, has been with my dad for almost 50 years. Needless to say she is scared to death of what will happen when my dad passes. My parents live on a fixed income and have no savings. We spoke to the social worker and know that a lot of the burial costs will be covered by the Veterans but not all. Once he passes the household income will drop.

I am setting up the gofundme so my mom can focus on making my dad comfortable and not worry about what the VA will not cover when my dad passes. The other goal is to hopefully send my mom back to Okinawa for a month so she can heal with her family in Japan. If you can help relieve some of the financial burden we would be grateful.
