This was written by Jack's mother. My dearest friend. Please I beg of you help this family.
Sometimes there just aren't any words to adequately express how one feels. Sometimes you can't help but ask why, and try to place blame on yourself, as if there were anything you could possibly have done.
We have gone back and forth about whether or not to share this news on social media, but we humbly ask you all to keep our beautiful son, Jack in your thoughts and prayers tonight and the many days to come in the greatest most unfair battle an innocent child has to face.
Jack has been diagnosed with cancer. He has two tumors, one the length of his thigh, and one the size of a baseball in his abdomen. We do not know what kind, or what stage as it is too early to tell. We expect to get some results back this week or next, and will have further testing to do.
But what we do know is we are going to do everything we can to keep our boy as happy and healthy as possible.
This heartache is immeasurable. I do not feel as though my heart will ever be whole again. Steve and I wish we were able to take our sons place. But since we know that is not possible, we will hold his hand and walk beside him and hold him tight through this. He is not alone.
We are going to keep his journey off our main Facebooks. But have created a group if anyone wants to join, share words of wisdom, share laughs, tears, and celebrate every obstacle Jack is about to overcome.
He is strong. He is tough. He is our amazing son.
