We recently learned that our childhood friend, Larry Puryear, has been at Duke University Hospital in ICU with leaking heart valves and complications.  Larry needs two valves replaced - two! While he has health insurance, there are costs that are not covered, and missed work as he awaits surgery adds to the stress for Larry and his family. I remember Larry when he was a little boy and started Central School in my younger brother's class... Larry had the brightest smile and the sweetest disposition of any child I knew. As he grew up, I never once saw him being anything but a kind and generous and loving man. I cannot imagine this good and gentle man with a broken heart, but here we are... We want to lift this burden of stress from our friend!
