Fighting Cancer for Larissa

My mother, aged 53, was recently diagnosed with Stage 1B Emryonal rhabdomyosarcoma of the cervix, a rare form of soft tissue cancer that has metastasized into her lymphatic system. Doctors cannot explain its origin nor have a way to ensure survival other than prescribing the administration of expensive radiation and chemotherapy.

Larissa endured surgery and will continue to undergo a combination of chemotherapy and radiation every three weeks for one year.  The prescribed drugs are very expensive and Larissa does not have insurance to cover the full cost. One injection it self costs $3,000.00 and must be administered after each chemotherapy session. 

Unfortunately as a result of her diagnosis, Larissa has lost her main source of income and needs help to pay for the medical expenses and make ends meet.

As Larissa’s daughter I can tell you she is the most generous, loving and wholehearted person, she is always the first to offer help and the last to ask for help herself. This is the reason why I started this campaign on her behalf. In her daily life leading to this tragic illness, Larissa worked from home taking care of and teaching children. She always gave her self to the well-being and happiness of others. 

I am seeking support from fellow friends, family and anyone else affected by cancer who understands the struggle and can help keep the hope alive to beat this terrible illness, or atleast make the struggle less difficult.

Larissa also has 7 year old daughter, my sister, who needs her mother to live and beat this festering illness. This little child is stuck in a situation beyond her control or current understanding. She is the light to our world, and we need to stay strong for her. I am Larissa's eldest daughter. Her oldest son recently passed and cannot be here to help defeat this pain. I am doing my best to make mortgage payments each month but I am in school full time and work on the days I have available.

Any help you can provide will go toward covering costs of treatment, medication, and help us stay afloat amid all the added expenses.
