Medical Bills and Living Expenses

Up until October 1, 2017, I always felt that I had lead a fairly charmed life.  Other than life's regular ups and downs, Larry and I have had a good life together.  We faced what most young couples do...battling finances and keeping the kids on the straight and narrow.  We have had great success with the tasks layed out before us.  Then, on October 1, 2017, the other shoe finally hit the floor with a deafening thud.  I was diagnosed with Stage IV Metastatic Adenocarcinoma of the lung.  Talk about a life changing/life shortening event.  For the past 2 1/2 months we have been through scans, testing, one round of fairly agressive chemotherapy with immunotherapy added in.  Having said this, I have not been able to work during this time and our savings are now gone.  I am currently trying to sell my motorcycle to help bridge some of the income gap, but this is a bad time of the year to be selling a motorcycle.  We have about a week of cash left and then things get really tight.  I still have at least 3 rounds of chemo to go and we still don't know if it is actually working.  We have the day to day stuff handled for now, but what we really need is some financial support.  I never would have imagined that I would be going to friends and family for financial support at this time in my life, but I don't have a choice.  Larry has been a great support to me, and it kills me to see the worry in his eyes when we start talking about finances.  He has been through so much and now this added burden seems so unfair.  I know it is a rough time of year on everyone's finances, but please know that every little bit will help.  Also, if you could share the motorcycle post out far and wide so it can be sold as soon as possible that would be great.  With a very humble heart and much love,  Tammie.
