Please help my family

Hi everyone :) My name is Caity and I'm on here asking for help so that my little family can get a home. We've had a hard trot the last 10 months. It's started with my partner, Reuben, getting a very bad infection (cellulitis) in his right leg. It went untreated from September 2016, until January 2017 because after seeing 13 doctors not one of them managed to pick up that the pain he was getting was an infection, and it ended up turning into osteomelitis, which went through to his tibia and basically rotted it. If this were a couple of years ago, they would have just removed his leg. But with all of the medical advances these days, they decided to take a long shot. They removed his tibia from his leg back in March 2017, and they are going to try and grow him a brand new tibia using 3D printing and bone cells and nerves from his left leg. We are unsure as to how long this whole process will be, because it has only ever been tried on sheep, and no longer than 6cm. And even at the end of all this, it might not even work and his leg will be removed in that case anyway. We have been given a very rough estimate of 18 months, to two years starting from when the 3D printing is inserted, which is happening on the 24th of August, 2017. In all of this mayhem, I gave birth to our little boy, William, on the 3rd of January, 2017. Reuben went into hospital on the 5th of January, and was in there for Williams entire first month of life, which left me solo for a while until I went and stayed with my mum for the majority of that month, leaving William and I to travel an hour to and from nearly every day in the hot Queensland summer, with no air conditioning in our car. Since then, Reuben has been in and out of hospital for no less than two week stays at a time, most of the time longer.
Reuben lost his full time, and well paying job, which has left us living off government benefits for the time being. We ended up having to give up our unit because it had stairs and it was a daily struggle for him to go up and down on crutches. We are currently living with my mother in law, but due to space, and a number of things really, we aren't able to stay here for much longer. Our car broke down a couple of months ago, and if it weren't for a friend helping us out, it wouldn't even be close to going again. We've also sold a lot of our possessions to try and scrape enough money together, but haven't even gotten close to what we need.
We are aware that there are so many people, and families out there that need help much more than we do, and we aren't at all trying to say our situation is worse than anybody else's. We simply just need help if you are able to provide it.
Please, please, if you can help us in any way, we will be forever grateful. If it's only a few dollars, we will still be just as appreciative.
